Benylin Mucus Cough & Cold All In One Relief - 16 Tablets
What it is used for:
- Provides relief from symptoms associated with colds and flu.
- Helps loosen and thin mucus in the chest, making it easier to cough up.
- Relieves nasal congestion and helps you breathe more easily.
- Relieves pain and reduces fever.
Active ingredients:
- Guaifenesin: Helps loosen and thin chest mucus, making it easier to cough up.
- Phenylephrine: A decongestant that reduces swelling in the nasal passages and helps clear a blocked nose.
- Paracetamol: Helps relieve pain and reduce a high temperature.
How to take it:
- Adults and children aged 12 years and over: Take 2 tablets every 4 hours as needed.
- Do not take more than 8 tablets in 24 hours.
- Do not take any other medicines containing paracetamol.
- Always follow the instructions on the patient information leaflet or advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
Possible side effects:
- Headache or dizziness.
- Difficulty passing urine.
- Nausea, vomiting, stomach discomfort or diarrhoea.
- Difficulty sleeping, nervousness or restlessness.
- Increased blood pressure.
- Skin rashes or other allergic skin reactions.
- Visual disturbances.
Seek urgent medical help if:
- You develop swelling of the face or throat.
- You have difficulty breathing.
- You develop a severe skin rash.
- You lose consciousness or experience other signs of a serious allergic reaction.
Who should avoid it or seek medical advice:
- People with high blood pressure or serious heart problems.
- People with diabetes or an overactive thyroid.
- People with glaucoma or an enlarged prostate.
- People who have difficulty passing urine.
- People with kidney or liver problems.
- Anyone allergic to any of the ingredients.
- Children under 12 years of age.
Interactions and precautions:
- Speak to a doctor or pharmacist if you take other medicines, particularly medicines for blood pressure, heart conditions, nausea, epilepsy, or blood thinning.
- Tell your healthcare professional if you take flucloxacillin.
- The medicine may affect some blood or urine test results.
- Avoid alcohol while taking this medicine.
- If you experience dizziness, avoid driving or operating machinery.
Storage:
- Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place.
- Keep out of the sight and reach of children.
- Do not use after the expiry date shown on the packaging.
