Hay Fever Relief 2% w/v Eye Drops Sodium Cromoglicate are eye drops that have been designed to treat the symptoms of hay fever. They help to ease itching, redness, soreness and watering.

How Hay Fever Relief 2% w/v Eye Drops Sodium Cromoglicate works

Hay Fever Relief 2% w/v Eye Drops Sodium Cromoglicate contain the active ingredient sodium cromoglicate which belongs to a group of medicines called anti-allergies.

It works by stopping the release of natural substances in your eyes that can lead to an allergic reaction. 

Directions

Always use Hay Fever Relief 2% w/v Eye Drops Sodium Cromoglicate exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as your doctor / Chemist4U pharmacist has told you.

Apply 1-2 drops in each eye up to 4 times a day.

If you wear contact lenses, remove them before using this product. You can put them back in 15 minutes after you have applied the eye drops. 

Side effects

Hay Fever Relief 2% w/v Eye Drops Sodium Cromoglicate may cause side effects in some people, but these won’t affect everybody. Common side effects include: 

• Mild eye irritation 
• Stinging 
• Blurred vision

Serious side effects

Seek emergency medical attention if you notice any signs of a severe allergic reaction, symptoms of which include swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties and/or loss of consciousness. 

Warnings

Hay Fever Relief 2% w/v Eye Drops Sodium Cromoglicate may be unsuitable for certain people. Do not use this product if you are allergic to any of the ingredients.

Talk to your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist before using this product if: 

• You have no nose symptoms 
• Only one eye is affected 
• Your sight is affected
• The eye symptoms occur at the wrong time of year for hay fever
• The symptoms are caused by another allergy

Using/taking other medicines

If you are taking or have recently taken any medication, including medication obtained without a prescription, talk to your GP or pharmacist for advice.

Age restrictions 

This product is not suitable for children under 6 years old.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant or are planning to have a baby, you must ask your doctor or Chemist4U pharmacist for advice before using any new product. 

Driving and operating machinery 

This medication may alter your ability to drive or operate machinery. If you are affected do not drive until you feel safe enough to do so.

Storage information

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date, referring to the last day of the month stated on the packaging.
