Gaviscon Advance Mint Chewable Tablets – 24’s

• Purpose: Provides relief from heartburn, acid reflux, acid regurgitation and indigestion.
• How it works: Forms a protective barrier over the stomach contents, helping prevent acid and stomach contents from flowing back into the food pipe.
• Active ingredients: Each tablet contains 500 mg sodium alginate and 100 mg potassium bicarbonate.
• Format: Mint-flavoured, chewable tablets.
• Dosage: Adults and children aged 12 years and over can take 1–2 tablets after meals and at bedtime, when required.
• How to take: Chew the tablets thoroughly before swallowing.
• Children under 12: Use only on the advice of a doctor or healthcare professional.
• Other reflux symptoms: May also help with reflux-related cough, sore throat, hoarseness and voice problems.
• Sugar & gluten: The tablets are sugar-free and gluten-free.
• Important: Each tablet contains sodium and potassium, so people on a low-salt or controlled-potassium diet, or those with certain kidney or heart conditions, should seek medical advice before use.
• Medicine interactions: Leave around 2 hours between taking Gaviscon and certain other medicines, including some antibiotics, iron supplements, thyroid medicines and osteoporosis treatments.
• Side effects: Uncommon side effects can include diarrhoea, nausea or vomiting. Allergic reactions are very rare.
• When to seek medical advice: If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, consult a doctor.
